Police find body in searches for missing man from Truro

A body has been found in searches for a missing man from Truro.

Police say the discovery was made in the St Kew area of north Cornwall on Tuesday night.

Formal identification has not yet taken place but the family of missing 53-year-old Martin Allen have been told.

An appeal had been issued on Tuesday afternoon to try and find him.

Officers say support is currently in place.

"Police searching for missing Truro man Martin Allen, 53, located the body of a man in the St Kew area of Cornwall last night, 3rd November.

"Formal identification has yet to take place but Mr Allen’s next of kin has been informed and support put in place for them.

"Police would like to thank the public for their assistance with this matter."
