Olly Murs to play Cornwall next summer
He will headline The Wyldes in north Cornwall
Olly Murs has been revealed as a headliner for the north Cornwall music event The Wyldes.
The Voice coach and singer will play the Bude venue as part of his new UK tour in 2021.
He will showcase brand new material as well as his popular hits.
Murs, who leapt to fame after dazzling the notoriously hard to please judges on The X Factor in 2009, has sold over 10 million records worldwide.
His first single, Please Don’t Let Me Go, went straight to number one, and his self-titled debut album Olly Murs went double platinum.
He’s gone from strength to strength since then, and fans will know him from stints presenting the X Factor as well as coaching and judging on The Voice, and captaining England in this year’s Soccer Aid.
“We are so excited to announce that Olly Murs will be playing Live In The Wyldes in 2021.
“He’s a top class performer, singer and all round entertainer, and we know that it’s going to be a brilliant concert for the whole family to enjoy.
“2020 has not been an easy one, thanks to the global Coronavirus pandemic, but we’re looking ahead to 2021, and couldn’t be more excited that Olly Murs will be joining us, really giving music lovers in Cornwall something to look forward to.”
Lee Ellis, organiser at The Wyldes
The Wyldes was forced to cancel or postpone every single one of its 2020 shows, including flagship festival Leopallooza due to Coronavirus.
But things are looking bright for 2021, with the 2020 Leopallooza lineup preserved for 2021, and Live In The Wyldes headliners Keane and Rag’n’Bone Man rescheduled too.
Olly Murs marks the first big new announcement for 2021 for the Bude venue, who will be releasing more names soon.
Olly Murs will play Live In The Wyldes on Friday July 2nd, 2021.
