Cornwall is getting a new air link to London this summer.

easyJet has announced it will be operating flights between Cornwall Airport Newquay and Gatwick three times a week, starting in June.

Flights to Newquay will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays throughout the peak summer season from 8th June 2021 through to 30th October 2021.

“We are pleased to announce the launch our new service between Newquay and London Gatwick Airport which we are confident will be popular with customers planning to take to the skies once it is safe to do so. This is an exciting route for customers wishing to visit Cornwall for a much needed break and to reconnect with friends and family and will equally benefit those in Cornwall with a convenient link to London.

“Our Protection Promise means that customers can book with confidence knowing that if they are unable to travel or their plans change so can their flights or holiday. We will offer customers refunds if they are impacted by a travel ban, even if their flight is not cancelled, which is industry leading; giving consumers both the confidence to book and travel.

"We continue to focus on providing more direct domestic connectivity for customers and will be ready to ramp up our flights to ensure we can take our customers away to see friends and family or on long-awaited holiday breaks by providing great value services to our customers by offering low fares, and more choice when they travel.”

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager

“We’re delighted to see London Gatwick added to the growing network of easyJet routes at Cornwall Airport Newquay this summer. I am certain that this new route will be especially welcomed by Cornish residents who have long told us they want to see more great value flights to London. It will also provide a fast and convenient travel option for those in London and the South East dreaming of a domestic break in Cornwall this summer."

easyJet says it offers a set of flexible customer policies under its ‘Protection Promise’, meaning that customers can book now with the confidence that if their plans change, so can their booking.

Bosses say this includes a Refund Guarantee for flights if they are cancelled and with the Travel Ban Protection customers can also receive a refund for non-cancelled flights if plans are impacted by travel bans in a regional or national lockdown; the Freedom To Change flights without a fee up to 14 days before departure; and if quarantine measures come in to place last minute, our Quarantine Assurance also means impacted flights can be changed without a change fee.
