A second New Year's Eve fireworks display in Cornwall has been called off because of coronavirus.
Last week St Ives BID announced its display would not be held this year and now Truro has followed suit.
In a statement, Truro City Council said it had taken the decision to postpone 'with regret'.
Officials say it is due to the "current and predicted position of the pandemic", adding they did not want to do anything to "assist the virus to spread" or put any extra strain on the NHS.
The council is hoping to reschedule the fireworks display at a later date.
The statement reads: "It is with regret that Truro City Council has decided to postpone this years New Year's Eve Fireworks display to a future date due to the current and predicted position of the pandemic.
"At this time, we want to ensure that we do not in anyway assist the virus to spread or to put any additional strain on our NHS and essential services.
"We would like to thank our sponsors, and everyone involved in planning the event for their support and generosity.
"We obviously wish all Truro residents a safe and Merry Christmas and a healthy and Happy New Year".
It is the second New Year's Eve display in Cornwall to be called off, after St Ives made the decision to postpone last week.
