The A30 was left closed in both directions in the Camborne area following a multi-vehicle crash.

Police were called to a collision involving three vehicles just before 8.30am on Thursday morning.

It has been confirmed that two people have suffered minor injuries.

There was queuing traffic in the area but it has now been confirmed that the road has reopened.

A spokesperson for Devon & Cornwall Police said: "Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving three vehicles on the westbound carriageway of the A30 near Camborne at around 8.25am today 31 March.

"Two minor injuries were reported.

"Two vehicles have been recovered and one is awaiting recovery.

"Road closures were put in place but both carriageways have now been reopened, with the westbound reopened at around 10.15am."

The collision was causing congestion to surrounding roads due to queuing traffic.

A diversion route was also put in place by National Highways through Connor Downs to Loggans Moor.

It has now been confirmed that the road has reopened and traffic is easing.

Inrix Traffic and Travel says: "Queueing traffic due to earlier accident, four cars involved on A30 in both directions from A3047 (Camborne West, Camborne) to B3301 Carwin Rise (Loggans Moor roundabout, Loggans).

"Congestion to roads through Roseworthy and Connor Downs. All lanes have been re-opened.

"Was closed from 08:45 for around an hour and a half."
