Police confirm death of man found lying in road on outskirts of Camborne

Police have confirmed a man, found lying in the road on the outskirts of Camborne, has died.

Emergency services were called to Chapel Road in the Tuckingmill area, to concerns for a person's welfare.

The incident happened late on Tuesday afternoon (2nd November) near the turn-off for Redruth.

Officers say the man's family have been informed and they are not treating the death as suspicious.

Devon & Cornwall Police said: "Police were called at 4.50pm on Tuesday 2nd November to Chapel Road, Camborne, following reports of concern for a man in the road.

"Emergency services attended the scene where the man was confirmed deceased. His next of kin have been informed.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner".
