Man charged with murder following death of woman in Hayle

He is due before Exeter Magistrates Court

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in Hayle.

Police and paramedics were called to an address in Foundry Square at around 2am on Monday morning.

53-year-old Rhonda Humphreys was found with multiple injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

74-year-old Thomas Whitehorn, from Hayle, is charged in connection with the death.

He remains in custody and is due to appear before Exeter Magistrates’ Court today, 27th October.

"Detectives would like to thank the local community for their support and are urging anybody who has information which may assist with the investigation to contact them."
