A seven year old girl from Cornwall has sent a letter to the Queen, asking for her help to find two missing dogs.

Louise has written to Her Majesty's office at Buckingham Palace to help trace Margie and Ruby, who disappeared from Pillaton.

Her family are friends with owners Angela and Giles Greenhough, who fear their two Norfolk Terriers were stolen while they were out walking them in June 2021.

However, despite multiple searches and appeals, the animals have not been found.

Louise's mum has told us her daughter checks the letterbox daily, as she waits for a reply.

The search is still ongoing, with owners Angela and Giles Greenhough suspecting they were stolen.

Giles said: "You would hear occasionally of dogs being stolen but we're quite remote. It just seemed impossible that someone would rock up and steal your dogs".

The dogs were wearing trackers which were disconnected shortly after they first vanished.

The owners told us it took them three weeks to admit the dogs were missing and are continuing their search with the help of a Facebook group and online community who each send over leads on sightings.

Angela said: "We missed vital time to find our dogs. The community had been amazing, the kindness of these people just blows me away. I'm constantly overwhelmed. Through this experience, we've seen the worst of community and the best".

Louise wrote the letter to try and help the Greenhough family be reunited with their 'children' who went missing seven months ago.

Louise started her letter by saying "Dear Queen Elizabeth", before adding: "Because you are the Queen, I thought you could help find them please".

During an interview, Louise said "I love dogs" and added "I like playing with them".

Owner Angela Greenhough says they have been blown away by the lovely gesture.

She told us: "It made me cry, what an amazing thing to do all off her own back. She just wanted to know what she could do to help. It's just the most lovely thing to have even thought of doing.

"If we found her off the back of her letter - how amazing. I think the Queen is a lovely lady and I think she will get a reply".

Louise's letter is absolutely adorable, and you can watch her reading it below...
