Firefighters have spent the night monitoring a large gorse blaze on a cliff-top near Tintagel.
It broke out at Glebe on Bank Holiday Monday, but flared up again on Tuesday (August 30th).
At its height, smoke could be seen billowing out over the sea and a stretch of the coast path had to be closed.
On Monday, crews from Delabole, Bude and St Columb were at the scene, along with a water carrier from Wadebridge.
On Tuesday, teams from the National Trust and English Heritage were working in partnership with Cornwall Fire & Rescue as strong winds fanned the flames.
At around 11am, Cornwall Fire & Rescue said: "The public should be aware of closures of the coastal footpath in the immediate vicinity of the area".
Later on Tuesday, a spokesperson for Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service said: "A partnership of Cornwall Fire Service, National Trust and English Heritage has been in effect all day at Glebe Cliff in Tintagel.
"A wildfire started in this location yesterday and has been smouldering again today - fanned by strong winds.
"The fire has now been contained with fire breaks.
"Cornwall fire crews will remain in attendance overnight to protect the fire breaks.
"The scene will be fully reassessed tomorrow morning by a Senior Fire Officer".
