Posting on social media, The Pitch - Home to St Dennis AFC, said: "After tonight's events we can say, and the police have signed off to say, the clubhouse was more than equipped to deal with the under 18s tonight.
"The precautions, systems and professional staff in place were actually classed as excessive but better to be over than under equipped!
The police advised over the phone to clear everyone into open space which is what we did and confirmed this is the action to be taken when an incident occurs".
They went on to say that no-one had been harmed, adding: "Ultimately, the business we are in, there could be trouble anytime we open the doors, every other establishment within the village would have experienced.
