'This train don't stop Camborne': Touching tribute to Jethro using famous gag

Tributes are pouring in from the world of entertainment after the death of Cornish comedian Jethro.
A statement on the 73-year-old's official Facebook page said he passed away on Tuesday 14th December after catching coronavirus.
Dawn French is among the many celebrities paying their respects, tweeting: "Some of my most helpless moments of laughter were in his presence".
Jethro, real name Geoffrey Rowe, was born in St Buryan and remained famous for his Cornish humour once his career took off.
Perhaps one of his most well-known gags was: "This train don't stop Camborne on Wednesdays".
Now Great Western Railway has changed the noticeboard at Camborne train station in tribute and tweeted a special tribute.
As well as changing the sign at the station, GWR tweeted: "We were really sad to hear about the passing of Jethro.
"May you rest peacefully in the knowledge that the train does indeed now stop at Camborne on Wednesdays".
In a follow-up, tongue-in-cheek, tweet, they said: "Except for today, as we are running a rail replacement service due to improvement works".
A GWR spokesperson said: "One of Jethro’s most famous gags is 'This Train Don't Stop Camborne Wednesdays' and we wanted to honour his passing with our own small tribute at the station.
"Of course, trains do now stop at Camborne on Wednesdays, but the irony is they aren't today because of rail improvement works, with buses operating instead. We're sure he'd have a cheeky smile about that…"
