Firefighters rush to house fire in mid-Cornwall amid fears of people trapped

Firefighters have rushed to the scene of a house fire near St Columb, amid fears of people trapped inside.
A passerby called 999 on Tuesday night (11th May), after spotting smoke and failing to raise the residents.
Crews discovered a blaze in the ground floor kitchen of the property at Fraddon.
However Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service says everyone was accounted for 'very quickly' and no injuries have been reported.
"Fire crews from St Dennis, St Columb and Newquay were mobilised to this incident.
"A passer-by called 999 to report he could see smoke in a property and could not raise the occupants.
"Critical Control immediately made it a persons reported incident and alerted police and ambulance.
"On arrival the fire was located in the ground floor kitchen of a semi detached house approx 5m by 10m and very quickly all persons were accounted for.
"The firefighters used two breathing apparatus and one hosereel to extinguish the fire and the incident was handed back to occupier".
