Group from Penwith College self-isolates following positive case
A student studying at the Penzance campus was confirmed to have coronavirus on Monday.

A case of cornavirus at a college in Cornwall has led to a group of students and staff to self isolate for 14 days.
Penwith College said they received news of the confirmed case at it's Penzance campus on Monday and immediately got hold of any one who had been in contact with that person.
It says the safety of its staff and students ramins its priority and is continuing to following Government and Public Health England Advice.
Students affected will be taught online during this time.
"On Monday (October 5), a Further Education student at Penwith College received confirmation of a positive Covid-19 test. As required by Department for Education guidance, the College worked with Public Health England and immediately contacted all learners and staff who had contact with that student, advising them to self-isolate for 14 days from the last day of contact (Monday, September 28). Parents of those affected by this measure have also been contacted. Students will be taught online during this period.
"No other students or staff need to self-isolate at this time unless they have been told to. The safety of our staff and students remains our priority and we continue to follow Government and Public Health England advice.
