Gordon Ramsay has been defending his lockdown stay at his holiday home in Cornwall, saying it gave him cherished time with his children.
The TV chef says he doesn't know why he took so much grief from the Cornish during the pandemic.
Speaking to the Radio Times, he said: āGod knows why we took so much s*** from the Cornish.
āWe lived down there; we just hadnāt been down there for a long time. We didnāt sneak down there at all.
āWe got there at an appropriate time and had an absolutely amazing time. And a time like that ā weāll never get back again.
āWhen the kids started disappearing again, I didnāt want it to end ā as a dad, not a chef.ā
The 55-year-old was speaking during an interview with the Radio Times about Covid and the affect on restaurants.
He was also asked if he might follow in his daughter Tillyās footsteps on to the Strictly Come Dancing dance floor.
Gordon said: āNo chance. Iāve got size 15 feet and they were not made for a dance floor, let me tell you.
āThey asked me to do a Christmas special with Gino DāAcampo and Fred Sirieix.
āI would love to do it, though. Secretly, Iād love to do it. Iāve always wanted to dance. Thereās something so gorgeous about the rumba, the samba, the foxtrot, the tangoā¦
āI donāt know. I may ask the BBC if I could do it next year. Tilly would kill me, by the way. But the only bit Iād be slightly nervous about is all the tight lycra, sequins and the trousers.ā
