A fundraiser has been launched to help support a beach cafe in Falmouth, after the owner was reportedly robbed at knifepoint.

Owner Fiona has since posted to say she is overwhelmed by the support but added "there are much better causes out there".
The Go Fund Me appeal says: "On Monday 28th June 2021 - Fiona, the owner of Castle Beach Cafe in Falmouth, was robbed at knifepoint.
"Heartbreakingly, the offender left with the float and cash from her local business.
"Fiona is a very caring, community minded person who provided free kids meals at half term during the pandemic, when the government wouldn't... along with many other incredible things!
"We would love to support Fiona in what must be a tough time for her. As she has done so much for her community, we would love to give something back.
"Our hope is to cover the cost of the takings lost, along with raising enough money to fund the purchase of a new security system, along with installation for the cafe.
"Every donation, no matter how big or small, would be greatly appreciated.
"Thank you!"
