We are being warned to take extra care on the drive to work as a fog warning goes out for Cornwall.

The yellow alert covers the whole of the Duchy and will be in force until mid-morning on Thursday (14th October).

Forecasters say visibility below 100m at times and, in some areas, fall to below 50m.

They say most of the fog will be found away from the hills and moors and will clear by 10am, when the warning lifts.

However, some stubborn patches could linger for a while after that.

"Fog patches may be dense in places to begin with today with visibility dropping below 100 metres at times and perhaps below 50 metres in a few places.

"Much of the fog will be found away from hills and moors.

"Most of this fog will lift and clear by mid-morning, but a few stubborn patches may linger until late morning".

The yellow weather warning for fog will be in force until 10m on Thursday 14th October.
