Suspicious package found in Flushing NOT a risk to the public

Bomb disposal teams have been on the scene today

Police say an investigation into a suspicious package found in Flushing this morning have concluded, and it is not a threat to the public.

Devon and Cornwall Police were called to Trefuiss Road in Flushing, Falmouth in the early hours of this morning.

The Explosive Ordinance Disposal team were called to the scene and have spent time since investigating the suspicious package, which has been deemed to be no risk to the public.

It's believe the item was a hoax.

A 100m cordon was put up as a precaution with nearby residents evacuated and roads closed.

Police say the cordon will now be lifted.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident and want to hear from anyone with information.
