Festive bus timetable changes for Cornwall announced
Operators Cornwall by Kernow and Adventures by Bus have adjusted their services to reflect lower customer demand
Bus operators Cornwall by Kernow and Adventures by Bus have announced their timetables for the festive period, including Christmas and New Year.
On Christmas Eve a normal Saturday service will be operating. Then there will be no services on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day.
A Sunday service will operate on the 27 December* and on the Bank Holiday of Monday 2 January, with normal Monday to Friday timetables then resuming for the majority of services from Tuesday 3 January.
Simon Goff, Managing Director for Cornwall by Kernow said: "All through the year our priority is to provide an efficient service to get passengers to their destinations.
"We know that during the festive season passenger demand quietens down considerably, so we have adjusted our services to reflect this change in our scheduling.
"This means there will be no services running on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. However, across the rest of the holiday, our services will be running, although some may be slightly reduced, and we advise passengers to check timetables before travelling.
"We wish all our customers a very happy and safe festive period."
Full festive holiday timetable changes:
Monday 19 - Friday 23 December
A normal service, for each day will run on most routes.
Christmas Eve
A Saturday service will run on most routes, though some late-night journeys and those after midnight will be cancelled. If your service doesn’t normally run on a Saturday, it will not operate on this day.
Christmas Day
No service
Boxing Day
No Service
Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 December
A Sunday service will be operating on most routes.
*The Adventures by Bus Land’s End Coaster runs to a special Christmas timetable on Tue 27, Wed 28, Thu 29, Fri 30 and New Year’s Eve.
Thurs 29 and Fri 30 Dec, and Sat 31 December A normal service will be operating, except for the Land’s End Coaster which runs to a special Christmas timetable on Tue 27, Wed 28, Thu 29, Fri 30 and New Year’s Eve
New Year’s Eve
A normal Saturday service will run on most routes, though some late-night journeys and those after midnight will be cancelled. If your service doesn’t normally run on a Saturday, it will not operate on this day.
New Year's Day
No service
Monday 2 Jan 2023 (bank holiday)
No Service
Tuesday 3 Jan 2023
Normal service resumed from and including Tuesday 3 January onwards.
