Family of young man who died in Cornwall crash say “Heaven has gained an angel”

The family of a young man who died in a crash in north Cornwall have paid tribute to a “loving and gentle” son, brother and uncle who “touched so many people’s lives for the better”.

Shannon Rundle from Launceston lost his life after a collision at the nearby village of Laneast.

Sadly, the 33-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Devon and Cornwall Police have released the following tribute on behalf of Shannon’s loved-ones:

“Shannon was a kind, loving and gentle man who touched so many people’s lives for the better.

“He was a much-loved son, brother, uncle and amazing friend.

“The family are heartbroken but Heaven has gained an angel and he will live on in our memories forever”.

The three-vehicle collision happened outside Moorview Garage shortly before 4pm on Saturday 18th September.
