UPDATE: Missing Mark Purtill's family have confirmed "he's home".

The family of a missing man from south east Cornwall are begging people to keep searching.

Mark Purtill was last seen in Liskeard town centre on Monday afternoon.

Police say they are growing increasingly concerned for the 41-year-old's welfare.

Urgent appeal issued as police search for man missing in south-east Cornwall

A family member has shared several heartfelt appeals for help on Facebook, which have had thousands of shares.

They wrote: "If anyone sees him tell him to come home. He has to come home then it will all be ok. Until then we keep searching.

"Thank you to everyone who searched high and low till the early hours. We are eternally grateful. But I beg you all to keep searching for him."

"Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Mark Purtill from Liskeard.

"The 41-year-old was last seen at around 3pm today, Monday 28th June, in the town centre.

"He is described as a white male with tanned skin, around 6ft in height, of slim build, with short dark hair and a stubbly beard. He may be wearing mechanic style clothing with a jacket."
