Elton John is coming to the South West!

He'll perform at Ashton Gate stadium in Bristol as part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour on June 22 next year.

Several new dates have been announced this afternoon including Liverpool on June 17, Sunderland on June 19 and Swansea on June 29.

The Ashton Gate show will be the last time Elton ever performs in the South West of England on tour.

Elton will then travel across the pond to take his final bow in North America, playing in major cities including Vancouver, Toronto, Chicago and more.

The North American run will kick off at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on July 15, 2022 before concluding with back-to-back performances at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on 19 and 20 November, 2022.

Announcing the final dates of his tour on social media, Elton John said, “Hello, all you wonderful fans out there. I’m coming to you today with an announcement I’ve been working towards for, well, all my life: the shows that I announce today will be my final tour dates ever in North America and Europe.

"I’m going to go out in the biggest possible way, performing at my very best, with the most spectacular production I’ve ever had, playing in places that have meant so much to me throughout my career.

"Whether it’s next summer in Frankfurt or at the legendary Dodger Stadium for the grand finale in the United States, I can’t wait to see you all on the road one last time."

Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday June 30 at 10am for the UK dates via Ticketmaster, AXS, Alt Tickets and Gigantic.

“We are so excited to be able to welcome Elton John back to Ashton Gate and to be part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road – The Final Tour.

“After the difficult last 15 months of Covid it is critical that we get the events industry back on track.

"We know that the Summer Series of concerts in 2019 at Ashton Gate provided a huge economic stimulus to the city – with hotels, hospitality and retailers all reporting a spike during the Summer Series.

“It is a real honour and privilege to be selected alongside the other incredible venues – like Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the San Siro in Milan and Liverpool’s Anfield.

"It promises to be an amazing evening with one of the all-time greats.”
