Eden Project one of the 'most loved' workplaces in UK
It came in 11th place in the survey by Newsweek
Staff at Cornwall's Eden Project have given the thumbs up to their workplace - as it's been named as one of the twenty 'most loved' in the UK.
A survey by Newsweek looked at things like how positive they felt about their future, their career achievement, and respect at all levels.
The results were determined after surveying more than 1.4 million employees from businesses with workforces varying in size from 50 to more than 10,000.
Dawn George, Eden’s Chief People and Culture Officer, said today: “This award is great recognition of all that we do at Eden to ensure this is a place where people love to come to work and be part of a thriving team.
“We are a values-led organisation where the employee voice and contribution is vital. We encourage team members to look at their personal values and how these cross over with Eden's and we weave the values through how we work and support everyone.”
Eden opened to the public in 2001 and since then the educational charity and social enterprise has attracted more than 23 million visitors to its home in a former clay quarry.
In Cornwall and beyond, Eden employs 430 people and has 120 volunteers.
BPI and Most Loved Workplace Founder and CEO Louis Carter said: "The companies on this list represent the best at placing love at the centre of their employees’ experience.
"The number of applications this year and analysis of survey data reinforces our original findings that love is the strongest predictor of the strength of a company's culture, employee engagement, and satisfaction."
