Dog rescued after slipping 10ft down cliff side in Cornwall

A dog has been rescued after slipping 10ft down a cliff side in Cornwall.
Coastguard rescue teams were called to Roundwood Quay at Feock, near Truro, on Sunday afternoon.
The pet had slipped down the side of what appeared to be an old quarry face and was resting on a small ledge.
Teams used specialist rope equipment and an animals rescue bag to get the pet to safety.
It was the third time in a week that coastguard crews had been called to reports of dogs over cliffs.
The team say the owners did exactly the right thing by calling for help.
People are being urged to keep their pets on leads around cliffs and rough seas.
"The team was tasked to a dog stuck on a cliff. Roundwood Quay, Feock.
"Also tasked were St Agnes Coastguard Search & Rescue Team and full time Senior Coastal Operations Officer S11D.
"On scene, it was discovered a dog had slipped about 10 feet down what appeared to be an old quarry face cut into the cliff side and was resting on a small ledge.
"Using specialist rope rescue equipment and an animal rescue bag, a rope rescue technician was lowered to the dog and she was successfully rescued. Both technician and dog safely lowered to the bottom of the cliff and handed over to very grateful owners.
"This is the third time this week we’ve been out to dogs over cliffs, please be careful while out taking exercise. Keep dogs on leads around cliffs and rough seas.
"Please remember accidents do happen and can happen to anyone.
"The owner did exactly the right thing and called 999 and asked for Coastguard."
