Drivers warned to expect delays after car fire caused 'extensive damage' to Cornwall's A30

Drivers are being warned to expect delays after a car fire on Cornwall’s A30, including the thousands leaving Boardmasters.
The blaze at Victoria caused extensive damage to the eastbound carriageway over the weekend.
One lane will be shut between Indian Queens and Victoria throughout the day on Monday 16th August.
Highways England has confirmed there will be a full closure tonight, while workers carry out repairs.
Highways England said: "Drivers wishing to use the eastbound A30 are advised to expect heavy congestion in the area due a lane closure between the A39 Indian Queens and A391 Victoria.
"This is because a vehicle fire has caused extensive damage to the road surface, which will need a large amount of resurfacing.
"Due to the amount of traffic expected to head east from Cornwall, including people leaving the Boardmasters festival in Newquay, the road will stay open with a short eastbound lane closure in place today (Sunday) and tomorrow, with resurfacing taking place under a full closure on Monday night.
"There are long eastbound delays on the approach to the lane closure and drivers are encouraged to allow extra time for their journeys or seek an alternative route if possible.
