Dawn French voices new Cornwall Air Ambulance documentary
Cornwall Air 999 hits our TV screens on Tuesday 3rd November
Dawn French is voicing a new documentary about the Cornwall Air Ambulance.
Cornwall Air 999 has been narrated by the actress and Cornwall resident, bringing a familiar voice to accompany the real-life emergencies faced by the crew over the 10-part series.
Viewers will be given a behind-the-scenes look at the lifesaving charity, as cameras follow the team of critical care paramedics and pilots as they fight to save lives during the unique year that 2020 has been.
“This documentary puts you in the heart of the action, with a behind-the-scenes look at real-life emergencies and the impact it has on patients, their families and the crew itself. We hope this access to the service inspires people to give so that we can continue to make a difference for the people of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.”
Steve Garvey, Air Operations Officer
“This series is a fantastic opportunity for the charity to showcase the vital work that the team carry out every day, to a national audience. To those who live in or holiday to Cornwall, the service is a lifeline. With staycation holidays on the rise, the demand for critical care by air has never been greater. This comes at a time when many fundraising events have been cancelled due to Covid-19. So, no matter where you live, the more that people step in now and support the lifesaving work of the charity, the greater the chances are that we can reach the patients who need us most.”
Paula Martin, Chief Executive of Cornwall Air Ambulance
The weekly episodes begin on Discovery’s digital TV channel Really on Tuesday 3rd November at 9pm.
You can watch Really on Freeview 17, Sky 142, Virgin 128 and Freesat 160.
