Dashcam footage appeal after St Austell assault

Police are asking for anyone with dashcam footage of an assault in St Austell to come forward.

It's reported to have happened between 2pm and 2.20pm on Bodmin Road, in the middle of the road, near the entrance to Priory car park.

It was reported that three men were involved in an altercation with two other men.

Three of those involved sustained facial and hand injuries, two of whom required hospital treatment.

An 18-year-old man from the Newquay area was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled Class B drug, possession of a bladed article in a public place, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.

Both have been released on bail to return on Tuesday 23 May.

Any witnesses or anyone with information or dashcam footage that could help with enquiries is asked to call Devon and Cornwall Police on 101.
