Firefighters from across Cornwall called to large blaze at Bodmin Airfield

A fire at Bodmin Airfield has scrambled crews from SEVEN towns across mid and north Cornwall.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue says the blaze broke out in a hangar with four aircraft and fuel inside.
Teams from Bodmin, Wadebridge, St Dennis, Padstow, St Austell, Launceston and Liskeard rushed to the scene on Friday evening.
They included five pumping appliances, two water carriers, an incident command unit and flexi-duty officers.
It was later confirmed that the incident was being scaled down and an investigation was due to be carried out on Saturday morning.
"Two pumping appliances from Bodmin and Wadebridge supported by a water carrier from Wadebridge and a flexi-duty officer were initially mobilised to reports of a fire inside an aircraft hangar.
"On arrival, smoke was found to be issuing and a further appliance was requested from Bodmin.
"In total 5 pumping appliances, 2 water carriers, 1 incident command unit, 1 operational support vehicle, 1 light 4x4 vehicle and 2 flexi-duty officers are on scene.
"The crews are dealing with a fire inside an aircraft hanger containing four aircraft and an unknown quantity of aviation fuel".
They later tweeted: "Crews from Bodmin CFRS, Wadebridge CFRS, St Dennis CFRS, Padstow CFRS, St Austell CFRS, Launceston CFRS, Liskeard CFRS are in attendance at a fire involving an aircraft hanger at Bodmin Airfield.
"The incident is drawing to a close and a fire investigation will take place tomorrow".
