Cornwall's Molly Hocking to return to The Voice UK with new single
The 19-year-old singer from St Ives won the show last year!
Cornwall's very own Molly Hocking is returning to The Voice UK to perform her brand new single.
The 19-year-old was crowned the winner of last year's show when she was just 18.
Now she has released her debut single, After The Night Before, and she's been telling Pirate FM all about it.
"It's really about the emotions I was feeling on the backlash of losing something in my life, where maybe that had been moving out of my home in Cornwall, or breaking up with my partner at the time, and all these emotions just got on top of me.
"And I wanted to write a song that wasn't just focused on one thing, so everyone can relate to something that they've been through.

Molly tells us what life has been like since winning the show, and how 2020 isn't exactly how she (or anyone else) imagined it would be.
"It sometimes feel like it never happened I think, because I'm not in that London city area anymore, or in the studio, everything just sort of came to a stop. So I had to find a new way of recording music and working with people in the situation we were in, which was really difficult.
"The weird thing is I got so comfortable performing in front of a live audience, and I wasn't comfortable at all performing to my phone, it's just a different situation, so I had to get used to the technology side of it, but now I feel like I'm used to that.

She admits that the coronavirus pandemic has been a challenging time, but is urging people to let themselves rest.
"I would just really encourage anyone who's in the situation that I'm in, to not look at social media too much and at what everyone else is doing, that's what I got really entranced in and I was like 'oh my god they're doing so much, they're writing every day for 12 hours a day' but the reality is they're not, you need to have a break as well and it's absolutely fine to sit on your bed all day."
