A Cornish choir has recorded a song in tribute to Captain Sir Tom Moore.

The war veteran and pandemic hero died last week at the age of 100 after recently testing positive for coronavirus.

He raised millions for the NHS during the first lockdown, by walking laps of his garden.

Now the Truro Male Choir has recorded You'll Never Walk Alone as their first new piece of repertoire for 2021, dedicated to Sir Tom.

As well as recording themselves, choir members have provided pictures which inspire them to illustrate their new video.

“We had planned to learn this as our first new piece for 2021 to cheer ourselves and raise our own and others spirits.

"Choosing pictures to illuminate the sense of the piece gave us an interesting challenge and produced some insightful results.

"We feel this is a fitting tribute to Sir Tom and will encourage people to continue to contribute to his Foundation, the details of which are shown at the end of the video.”

The Choir’s Musical Director, Russell Pascoe
