Parking at Penzance medical centre suspended following crash
Those who are due to get a vaccination today will receive one according to Devon and Cornwall Police
Patients of a medical centre in Penzance are being told not to worry if they are late for their appointment following a crash in its car park.
Devon and Cornwall Police were called to St Clare Street at around 2.20pm with a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
A woman in her 80s has been taken to hospital via ambulance with a suspected injury to her leg.
Alternative parking for patients who are due to receive their COVID vaccinations are being asked to part at the nearby leisure centre and walk over. There will also be wheelchairs available if required.
Patients are being reassured not to worry if the unforeseen alternative parking arrangements means they are late for their appointment as all those who are booked in for a vaccine will receive one.
Officers say the car park is unlikely to open again today.
