Cornwall's first ever Christmas tree drive-thru launches in Newquay
It is being held in the car park above Lusty Glaze beach
A Christmas tree drive-thru has launched in Newquay and is believed to be the first of its kind in Cornwall.
It is located alongside the new Lusty Glaze Clifftop Christmas Market, which is being held in the beach’s coastal car park.
Simply drive up to the tree you want, put your hazards on and the Prestige Christmas Trees team will package it up and pop it in your vehicle.
All entry and stall holder pitches at the market are being offered for free to support its local community during the festive season.
“This is the first mini Christmas market we’ve ever held at Lusty Glaze! It’s been created to be a beautiful, safe and socially-distanced festive space with the very best of Cornwall's food, drink, crafts, trees and everything in between.
“Entry is free for everyone to attend, as are all the trading pitches. We simply wanted to spread some cheer and support our local community in the run up to Christmas after what has been an incredibly challenging year all round.”

About the Christmas market:
A variety of local traders will be on site, with fresh food available to tuck into at the events as well as pop-up stalls selling Christmas gifts and wares. Some of the traders include gourmet waffle truck Load-A-Waffle, luxury food and drink hampers by The Bottle, tasty bakes and cakes from The Chunk Bakery and hearty Cornish dishes by the chefs of Philleigh Way. The stalls will change each weekend with more traders to be announced.
Lusty Glaze will also be serving a variety of mulled drinks from a festively decorated shepherds hut.
The gates to the beach will also be open for walkers, surfers and a little sandcastle building whilst the events are running, although the facilities down below will remain closed.
The events are due to take place on the weekends of 12th & 13th and 19th & 20th of December (weather permitting).
“After a rollercoaster year, we’re so looking forward to being able to host this little string of events to bring our local community together.
"The first one was so buzzy and full of lots of smiling faces enjoying the festivities. Personally, we can’t wait to pick out our Christmas tree, sip on some mulled wine, and enjoy some tasty food whilst taking in the views. We’re putting as many fairy lights up as possible to really take the festive magic up a notch too!”
