Cornish hotel where G7 summit was held named on 2021 travel 'lust list'
Hotels.com says the Carbis Bay Hotel is among the most desired destinations in the world for 2021
The hotel where the G7 summit was held in Cornwall has been featured in a travel 'lust list'.
Hotels.com says the Carbis Bay Hotel is among the most desired destinations in the world for 2021.
World leaders spent three days at the venue in June, where they held talks, had a beach barbecue and even watched the Red Arrows perform over the water.
Also among the most desired hotels on the 2021 Lust List is Treehouse London, a trendy hotspot with an incredible view of the city at its ‘Nest’ terrace.
Research from Hotels.com also reveals sea front location is also top of the wish-list for a third of Brits (31%), so it’s no surprise to see Caesars Palace Bluewaters in Dubai make the selection, located on a lavish man-made island and surrounded by stunning ocean views.
The data shows that less than a fifth of Brits (17%) always book their first-choice hotel, with half the nation (51%) admitting they’re unable to book their first choice due to expense. The financial impact of Covid-19 has put a further strain on people longing for a getaway, with less than half (44%) admitting it’s likely they’ll be able to book their dream hotel on their next trip as a result of the pandemic.
The Hotels.com 2021 Lust List is as follows:
Treehouse London
Pulitzer Amsterdam
The Knickerbocker Hotel, New York
Colony Club by Elegant Hotels, Barbados
Absolute Pleasure Yacht, London
Dubrovnik Palace, Croatia
Carbis Bay Hotel & Estate, Cornwall
The Barracks Hotel Sentosa, Singapore
Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai
The Venetian, Las Vegas
“With travel and hotel stays having been restricted, Brits have been lusting after that sweet hotel life. The only thing better than imagining luxuriating in the oceanfront 5-star Dubrovnik Palace in Croatia or sipping cocktails poolside at Cornwall’s famed Carbis Bay Hotel & Estate is doing it IRL.
“Now with our 2021 Lust List sale, we have the perfect excuse for holidaymakers to book that place they’ve been drooling over, ready for when travel returns. There’s huge savings to be had, loads of amazing properties to thirst over and Rewards nights up for grabs too.”
Emma Tagg, Head of Global & EMEA Brand Communications at Hotels.com
