A new café supporting anyone battling or affected by cancer has now opened in Wadebridge.
The venue, hosted at the Betjeman Centre, will be open on the second and fourth Fridays of the month.
It is open to anyone with a diagnosis, going through or have finished treatment, or family or friends of those affected.
In partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, Concern Wadebridge, North Cornwall Coast PCN, Age UK Cornwall & Isles of Scilly have joined together to open the venue after successes of similar ideas elsewhere.
Wellbeing Project Coordinator (Macmillan) Mary Austin said: "It’s a chance to talk about how you are doing, share tips on what has helped you or just enjoy a coffee and some good conversation with people in a similar situation as yourself".
Manager of Concern Wadebridge Emma Burt said: "We are over the moon to be working with so many organisations to bring this wonderful facility to Wadebridge.
"Everyone has been affected by Cancer in some way so I am sure it will be appreciated and help bring some comfort in times of need".
The non-clinical café does not offer medical advice but is free to anyone affected by cancer to talk to others going through the same, as well as speaking to social prescribers to support individuals with whatever they need.
