Flames light up night sky as big shed fire breaks out in Penzance
It is understood that no one was injured on Monday night
Firefighters have been tackling a big shed fire that broke out in Penzance.
Crews got the call to Penmere Road in the town at around 9.15pm on Monday night (21st February).
Appliances from Penzance and St Just got the shout to the scene. They use breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to put the blaze out.
Eyewitness Tommy Walton saw what happened, he told us he and another man helped to evacuate the nearby houses and get people away from the scene.
He says luckily no one was injured and believes an investigation may now be carried out.
A Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Appliances from Penzance and St Just responded to this incident.
"On arrival a shed fire was discovered. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
"There are no more details available for this incident."
