Big cliff fall on coast near Bude triggers warning to beach-goers

People are being urged not to sit under or climb on the cliffs

A warning has gone out to beach-goers in north Cornwall following a big cliff fall near Bude.

RNLI lifeguards say the landslide happened in the Duckpool area on Thursday.

The photos show the large amount of rocks and rubble that have given way and fallen to the beach below.

They are urging people not to sit under or climb on the cliffs and to always dial 999 in an emergency.

"Another BIG cliff fall at Duckpool this week.

"Never sit under or climb on the cliffs.

"First photo was taken by our task force end of March and the second was taken today by our off duty lifeguards.

"You can really see how much has fallen in just over one month.

"In any coastal emergency call 999 and ask for the coastguard."
