Police search for driver after boy was 'knocked off his bike' in Penzance crash

Police have issued an appeal after a boy was knocked off his bike in a crash in Penzance.

A car and a bicycle were involved in the collision on Battery Road on Saturday 3rd July.

Officers say the boy suffered an injury to his arm and the driver left the scene.

Now anyone who saw it happen, has details, or who has dashcam footage, is being asked to get in touch.

Devon and Cornwall Police said in a statement: "Police investigating a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and bike on Battery Road, Penzance, on Saturday 3rd July, at around 1.30pm, are trying to locate the driver of the car.

"As a result of the collision, a boy was knocked off his bike, sustaining an arm injury, and the car driver left the scene soon after.

"Officers would particularly like to hear anyone who saw it happen, and can provide details about the car or driver."
