Noel gives his verdict on Aberdeen traffic and Butteries

We caught up with Noel Gallagher ahead of this AECC gig

Published 25th Apr 2016

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds took the AECC by storm last night as his UK tour arrived in the Granite City.

Hundreds of you took to Twitter after the gig to show your love for the ex-Oasis front man!

Ahead of the gig we sent along our very own 'Travel' Pete to speak to his all time music hero... hands up... guesses please, what did they end up talking about...?

ABERDEEN ROADWORKS ...we should have known!

“What’s with all the roadworks? Honestly the traffic is worse than what it was in London coming out of the airport. It’s unbelievable"

Welcome to Aberdeen Noel!

Back to more serious chat Noel told us about his first AECC gig back in 1997 when Oasis first played the North-east, he reveals how he found out about the tragic news of Prince's death and he learns what a Rowie is after he revealed to the Evening Express last week that he had never heard of the region’s classic bite but would give them a try if a box was delivered to his dressing room ahead of his AECC gig.

The Evening Express and local baker JG Ross duly obliged and Noel gave us his toughts.

"They look like dead croissants"
