Catrina Frost’s six-year-old daughter Cailee is losing her vision. The young girl lives with a rare genetic disorder called familial exudative vitreoretinopathy, which means she will be blind within a few years.

Cailee’s mum is determined to show her as many incredible sights as possible so she can always remember them.

Speaking about her condition Catrina said:My friend lost her vision eight years ago, I can’t imagine what it’s like and so I asked her if it was just black. She told me it wasn’t because she has memory vision so if I say I’m wearing a yellow shirt, her mind will see it.

“Her memory bank is full and that’s why we created the sighting seeing bucket list – it’s not just adventures but it’s important for her future.”

She has already experienced a trip to the ocean in California, where the little girl made ‘sand angels’ on the beach. They have also been to Disneyland to meet Cailee’s favourite characters.

Catrina plans to take her horse riding, hiking and to Sea World before her daughter loses her vision.
