Victoria Carlin and Jonathan O'Brien have married after meeting through social media four years ago.

It all started back in 2012 when Victoria developed a crush on the man behind the Waterstones Oxford Street Twitter account, making her feelings public she tweeted 'well I'm in love with whoever is manning the @WstonesOxfordSt account'.

At that time Jonathan O'Brien was in charge of the account, regularly posting hilarious tweets and quickly getting cult status in the literary world with thousands of followers.

Here are just a few of the tweets he posted while at Waterstones.

With Victoria's crush public, her friends then dared her to ask the anonymous tweeter on a date which she did, meeting him in a secret cocktail bar in London.

Neither of them thought anything would happen, but their relationship blossomed.

'We thought we'd go on a few dates then I'd go back out on tour and that would be it,' said Victoria, 'but we just didn't stop talking even when I was in Australia for a month!'

Jonathan, who now works for Innocent Drinks, married Victoria in Islington over the weekend, even tweeting he was trying to catch a Pokemon while he was waiting for his wedding to start.

On Sunday Victoria announced to her followers that she had married her Twitter crush.

Jonathan left Waterstones last September posting his final tweet which said, 'That really is the end. From me, anyway. I have LOVED writing this Twitter account. Huge thanks to all.'

Congratulations Victoria and Jonathan, we hope you live happily ever after!
