Two shot dead in Ilford

Two men have been shot dead and a third is in a critical condition in hospital after an incident in Ilford in east London.

Police were called by the London Ambulance service just after midnight to Henley Road in Ilford, following reports there was a fight and shots fired.

Armed officers were among those responding.

At the scene officers found three males with gunshot injuries.

One of the victims, a man in his 20's, was pronounced dead at the scene, another victim died a short time later.

Police believe they know the identity of the victim in his 20s, and are trying to work out who the other one is.

The third victim, in his 30s, was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

There have been no arrests and enquiries are ongoing.

Crime scenes and road closures are in place.
