Two people have been arrested after a zombie-style knife, cocaine and an XL bully were seized in a raid.

Officers carried out the operation, which was sanctioned under the Misuse of Drugs Act in the Corporation Street area of Taunton on Wednesday (October 2nd).

In the raid of the property, police found a number of different mobile phones and a number of different illicit substances, which were believed to be cocaine, ketamine and cannabis.

As well as the various narcotics that were found at the address, a deal of weapons had been found, including a zombie-style knife, which had recently been banned by the Government.

On top of this, a dog - believed to be a banned XL bully breed had been found by officers; the dog has since been seized and is now being held in kennels.

Police confirmed that a 24-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug.

Both were also arrested on separate charges of possession with intent to supply a class B drug, possession of an offensive weapon in a private place and possession/having custody of a banned breed.

The two people were questioned by police following their arrests and were later released on bail as officers continue their enquiries.
