Norfolk Police have confirmed there's "no evidence of third-party involvement" in the case of missing mother-of-three Gaynor Lord.
Detectives have released the results of a post-mortem examination of a body, which was recovered from the River Wensum yesterday - a week since the 55 year old disappeared.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
Gaynor’s family have been informed of this latest update and continue to be supported by specialised officers. Formal identification is due to take place tomorrow (Sunday 17th December).
Chief Superintendent Dave Buckley, Norfolk Police's County Policing Commander, said:
“The post-mortem examination has found no signs that any other parties were involved.
“Although our searches have concluded, officers are continuing to work to establish the full circumstances surrounding Gaynor’s disappearance. We will pursue all lines of enquiry to understand why she went missing.
“Our thoughts remain with Gaynor’s family at this incredibly difficult time.”
Wensum Park was closed throughout the investigation but it has now reopened.
