Man charged after six-year-old girl abducted and assaulted in Droylsden
The 23-year-old from Liverpool was arrested on Thursday

A 23-year-old man has been charged after a six-year-old girl was abducted and sexually assaulted in the Droylsden, Tameside.
He was arrested in Thursday, the day after police were called to reports of a suspected abduction.
Greater Manchester Police have now confirmed a 23-year-old man from Liverpool has been charged with two counts of sexual assault and one count of abduction.
He's been remanded into custody and is expected to appear in court on Saturday.
The girl was re-united with her family a short time later, and the force said it was continuing to support her and her family.
Extra patrols to continue around Droylsden
Greater Manchester Police have said extra patrols will continue around the area where the six-year-old girl was abducted on Wednesday.
Detective Superintendent Richard Hunt, of GMP’s Tameside district, said: “I would, firstly, like to thank members of the public for their reaction to this incident - particularly for sharing our appeals on social media and contacting us with information which has assisted our investigation.
“As you may know, one man who was arrested in connection with this incident has now been charged but we are aware of the ongoing impact on the community and so additional patrols have been deployed and this will continue for the foreseeable."
Police have also confirmed they're not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
