Man charged and two arrested over Christmas Eve shooting

Elle was shot dead at the Lighthouse Pub whilst out with family last year

Detectives investigating the murder of Elle Edwards in Wallasey on Christmas Eve have arrested three people today, Wednesday 8 March 2023.

Elle was killed whilst out with friends when shots were fired at the Lighthouse Inn. She was not believed to be the intended target of the shooting, in which four other men were also injured.

Thomas Waring, 20, of Private Drive, Barnston, Wirral has been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, and assisting an offender. Waring will appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court tomorrow morning, Thursday 9 March.

Following further warrants, a man from Heswall and a woman from Tranmere, both 23, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

Both suspects have now been released on bail.
