Man, 24, charged after shots fired at property in Salford

He's due to appear in court on Thursday

A 24-year-old man has been charged by police investigating a shooting in Salford.

Officers were called to Jane Street on Sunday 30 June. It was later established that shots had been fired at an address.

Prince Moyo, 24, has been charged with two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of drugs with intent to supply cocaine, and possession with intent to supply heroin.

He's been remanded in custody to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Detective Inspector Justin Bryant form our Salford CID said: “Since the firearms discharge on Sunday we have worked tirelessly to understand the circumstances which led to this incident. We have made significant progress and we now have a man who has been charged and remanded for drugs and firearms offences, but our investigation is still very much ongoing.

“Additional officers remain in the area to support the community who have been affected by this, and we are working closely with partners to ensure our residents feel safe. If you have any issues or concerns, please do not hesitate to speak to us.

Greater Manchester Police are continuing to appeal for information in connection with the incident. Anyone who might be able to assist their investigation is being asked to contact the force on 101 quoting log number 3070 of 30/6/2024.
