South Wales Police has declared a major incident in Treforest after reports of a "significant fire" breaking out on an industrial estate.
The force says it's on the scene of a serious incident around Severn Road.
Roads around the industrial estate are closed and the police tell us they are likely to remain shut for some time.
There are reports of some people hearing a "loud explosion" or "massive bang" which shook houses nearby.
The Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board has posted on X (Twitter) to say that all their emergency departments are currently on high alert.
They're urging people to help them by not heading to A&E unless "absolutely necessary" while they focus on "providing care for those who need it most".
Councillor Andrew Morgan posted on X (Twitter) to say there is a "significant fire" on the Treforest Industrial Estate and that emergency services were on the scene.
Cai Preedy, a Labour Councillor for Rhondda Cynon Taff, tells us they are "very concerned with the recent reports of the Fire in Treforest industrial estate.
"Emergency Services are working hard on scene to deal with what they’re faced with.
"Please can residents stay clear of the area, use alternate routes, and stay safe.
