Who's in Liz Truss' cabinet?
She's been naming the MPs taking on the big roles in government
Last updated 7th Sep 2022
Liz Truss's new-look Cabinet is meeting for the first time this morning (Wednesday 7th September) to look at plans to freeze energy bills, but who is in the Prime Minister's top team?
Many members of the Cabinet were allies of the Prime Minister before she got elected, with many of the former top roles going to new people.
Deputy Prime Minister Therese Coffey defended the make-up of the top team following the cull of senior ministers loyal to former leadership contender Rishi Sunak, insisting it is “a government of all the talents that we have in this party”.
“Liz has appointed a Cabinet of a mixture of whether it’s people of her proactive supporters, people who did not support her as well.”
Here's who Prime Minister Truss has chosen as her key cabinet ministers.
