Glastonbury organiser dismisses headliner rumours as "untrue"
Media was full of speculation for the headline acts for next year's festival
One of Glastonbury Festival's co-organisers has dismissed media rumours of next year's edition as "untrue".
Throughout Saturday (November 4), media outlets had reported that music legends Madonna, Coldplay and Dua Lipa would be headlining the festival's iconic Pyramid Stage next June.
But co-organiser Emily Eavis shut down the claims on an Instagram post on Sunday morning (November 5), insisting that the full line-up is "still changing every day".
She wrote on a post uploaded to the social media platform: ""As always, there is much speculation and excitement about who is playing at Glastonbury.
"We are working on the line-up day and night at the moment, but it's still changing every day.
"The story about our confirmed headliners is untrue. As always, we love your enthusiasm and guesswork - but accurate news on headliners will be with you sometime in the new year!"
Eavis confirmed on the BBC's Sidetracked podcast that a well-known female artist was booked to be performing during the Legends slot of the show, but would not reveal who.
She also admitted that the line-up for next year's show was taking shape, but said things were still "a little up in the air". In the podcast, she also confirmed the dates for next year's festival - with music lovers descending on Worthy Farm from June 26th to 30th.
Tickets for the festival were supposed to go on sale last Thursday (November 3) and on Sunday morning, but were postponed for two weeks due to customers having problems registering their accounts.
Registration to get tickets for the event will now continue until November 13th, with tickets officially going on sale on November 16th and November 19th.
Those who want a chance to go the legendary festival will shelf out £355 for a ticket, with a £5 booking fee being added on top. Partygoers will be expected to put a £75 deposit on their tickets, paying the rest of the price by April.
