Cheshire Police have questioned two people on suspicion of the murder of a baby in Warrington 25 years ago.

Callum's body was discovered in woodland in the Callands area of the town in March 1998.

A man and a woman from Liverpool who were arrested have been released on bail as enquiries continue.

A police spokesperson says an arrest was made on Friday 28th July 2023.

Detective Inspector Hannah Friend from Cheshire Police’s Major Crime Review Team, said:

“I understand that this is an extremely emotional case which has attracted a lot of attention over the past twenty-five years, however I would ask people not to speculate.

“Enquiries remain ongoing, and we will not be releasing further information at this time.”
