A body's been found in the search for missing Laurel Aldridge in West Sussex.

The discovery was made in the Tortington Lane area of Arundel.

Sussex Police have informed the family of the 62 year old, who disappeared earlier this month.

Officers say formal identification work is now taking place.

Her brother-in-law, actor Mackenzie Crook, had appealed for information from the public as a search operation took place.

The British actor, who is known for roles in The Office, Pirates Of The Caribbean and Worzel Gummidge, said his sister-in-law's disappearance had been "agonising" for the family.

Laurel was last seen leaving her home in Walberton, near Arundel, early on Tuesday 14th February.

A police helicopter and drones were called in as part of efforts to locate her.

Members of the public were also urged to search outbuildings as part of the police investigation.
